Today Was A Good Day

(The Girls Posing For a Picture For Mommy, Happy Day!)

Last night was a little rough, but not too bad. Kathryn took her Clonidine and she was asleep pretty quickly. Of course she had to get to sleep in our bed, but that's fine, as long as she feels safe enough to fall asleep, we're good...

(She's watching some mermaid anime show on Netflix)

(And now she's out!)

She woke up a few times with her tantrums, but they were mild and didn't last long. They were still tantrums though. It's never easy to handle them, however last night was easier. We had some big storms come through, and since they are all terrified of storms, they slept in the bed together. Once Kat was good and asleep and the tantrums stopped, we moved her to the livingroom and she slept through the night!! It's always great to get to sleep through the night. :)

(Mary's right wrist)

I took this picture before Mary went to bed last night to show the progression in the malformation of her wrist. She wears a copper bracelet on this wrist and it helps with the pain a little bit but it doesn't always work and it doesn't ever work to stop the swelling. But we are so thankful for what it does do for her. It definitely dulls the pain, significantly. She needed pain meds last night. Her body was hurting and she couldn't get to sleep. Her back has started hurting her, nonstop. She has been trying not to ask for pain meds too often recently to see if it will help her belly feel better, but she had to last night. And laying off of the pain meds has seemed to be helping her stomach pains. I am so glad we go to her Rheumotologist this coming up Tuesday, (April 5).

The girls last night. This is what my children do. They come home from school, they eat a snack, they do their chores and their homework and then they get on their electronics. They stay this way until dinner, where they take a small break to eat and then get back on again until bedtime. With the exception of the days/nights that we have something to do or we do something together, this is where you will find them. Look familiar to anyone else? LOL You can't see Kat in this because she is usually sitting on top of our stand up freezer on her tablet, her tablet plugged into the wall behind her. We hear from them again only when they want a snack, or they are fighting.

Today

Kathryn had a great day at school, she told me. She was happy when she got home and has been in a super mood alllll day (and now night) long! We have not had a single tantrum, no fussing, no complaining, no fits, no interruptions, nothing. She has been wonderfully pleasant. :) Her baby brother on the other hand....

Yeah, he's 2.

Clara and Mary have had a good day too. They've had a few little fusses, but for the most part, they have gotten along and haven't really caused too much friction. They're glad it's Spring Break, finally. They're on their laptops in the livingroom, Kat's in her cubby and Aiden is in his room watching Scooby Doo. He keeps saying, "Oh, Jeepers!" LOL He's a mess.
Johnnie spent the night at his friend's house, so I get to spend the night watching chick flicks and continuously checking my Facebook. :P

We rarely get days this easy. We are grateful for the day and we hope for many more of these days in the future. It's been a good day.
