I have been allowing Marian to use my phone lately because well, it's not turned on for one and because Johnnie let Clara have his old phone. They are both using them on our Wi-Fi for things like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Kik and games.
I usually take my phone back at night when I am laying down to get Aiden to sleep. Last night, I was going through the pictures and videos, and saw that Mary has been recording videos of herself. She's got videos of her talking, cracking jokes, of all of us riding in the car (and all of the chaos that brings), and then there was one of her singing.
Marian started singing before she could talk. I am not even exaggerating when I tell you that she started singing at 6 weeks old. She would kind of do this little whine that sounded like she was singing sad songs. And then as soon as she knew how to form words, she was singing real songs. I have a lot of musical people in my family, my Papa was a Country singer, my Nanny used to sing Gospel music, and my Uncles sing and play the guitar. So I know it's in the blood.
(So is her love for cooking) as my Papa was and my Uncle is a fantastic cook!
Well, I couldn't stand it, she was so good in this video and I loved it so much, that I had to upload it to our YouTube channel. I am so stinkin proud of her, I had to show her to the world!
She's embarrassed. She thinks it's not good enough. She is not confident in her singing at all. So please, please, watch the video, it'll be linked below. And tell her how great she is! She doesn't believe me. For a 10 year old who has never once had voice training, or any kind of chorus in school, I think she is amazingly talented. I'd love for her to know that it's not just me, other people think so too. :)
